I just got done watching some of the best online marketing videos I have ever seen. Seriously. This has completely changed my day because after watching them, I had to post about them!
I’m talking about a series of videos Anik Singal and his group put together for their launch of their updated membership site, Affiliate Classroom 2.
They obviously worked on these videos for a very long time and came up with a great series of videos they should get TONS of mileage from.
The series includes not only squeeze page videos, but a series of incredibly informative videos where they review websites and make drastic improvements.
What made these videos so fantastic IMHO is that they managed to combine great information with being exceptionally entertaining. (For marketing videos, don’t expect 30 Rock.)
The entertainment components of the videos were simply the personal talents of their staff as likeable folks on video. The video presented them as “characters” so to speak. They were just themselves, they weren’t acting at all, but that’s a great way to create characters when it comes to making videos. All the world is but a stage is very true! So just be yourself, the incredible character that you are!
Just like the characters in a reality TV show engage the audience with who they are, the folks in this video made the video entertaining by being a group of likable folks, some silly, some serious, some teaching, others learning.
When many online marketing videos can’t get people to watch for more than 10 seconds, this video series held my attention for nearly an hour. I watched a total of about five videos from beginning to end. Even the one that was 17 minutes, an eternity on video. By making the videos so naturally entertaining, it was easy to stay glued.
