Jumpcut.com is by far one of the most helpful video websites on the net today. They offer much more than a place to host your video. Jumpcut is more like an online production facility, providing video clips and editing software you can use right over the internet.
Usually, to produce your own video, you have to supply the video somehow. Lots of folks rely on stock footage from sites like istockphoto.com instead of shooting it themselves but gathering the video is usually one of your basics steps.

Now don’t get worried if you want to use jumpcut but do not want to allow YOUR work to be re-edited and used by others. As an internet video producer and contributor to jumpcut, you can just say no!
Jumpcut helps distribute your video to your email list too. After you finish editing your masterpiece, simple press publish, enter your audience’s email addresses, press send and that’s it. Your email list will immediately get a link to your video.

A group in San Francisco started the site but it was quickly eaten up by the internet giant Yahoo.com because it is so innovative and unique. www.Motionbox.com has many similar functions including an online editor but these features are indeed rare and jumpcut.com is the future of online video.

There’s also a new site called ibeatyou that has odd competition stuff like this. You go and upload photos and videos of whatever contests you want to start, then rate entries. There are some pretty good competitions going on already, though I think it’s still an alpha site, which means registering before using. But it’s pretty cool if you’re into this type of stuff.

since yahoo shelved this technology what free- online- non-destructive service is there for remixing HD video that is ALREADY online? that can then be downloaded?

Yes, this is an old post. Animoto is an automated online editing platform you could try. It’s automated, and does not allow total control, but you end up with a nice product. You can download an animoto video when you are done with it.
