Online Video Marketing with Mike Stewart
By Internet Video Gal in Business Marketing with Video, Featured Video
Mike Stewart, who calls himself the Internet Audio and Video Guy, has a new membership site. Is it a good deal?
Mike’s new site is called the Internet Video Workshop. His goal is to help people get a video website up and running to promote their business.
Mike provides not only training about how to make video and use it online, but he also gives you lots of software and technical help getting a video website up.
His new site offers an awful lot and I made the video above to show you the services more clearly.
IMHO, the single best thing about Mike’s new site is the first thing he lists on the sales page: setting up a Wordpress Video Site for you. I think this is huge because I am firmly convinced that the technical challenges of setting up a site knocks a lot of people out of the race before they even get started.
So if you join the Internet Video Workshop, Mike’s team is doing it for you.
If you are serious about wanting to market yourself online, the type of website you need is EXACTLY what Mike is providing. One with a talking head video of you and a distinct call to action.
Lots of people think they need more than this and I see it all the time. Huge, gorgeous, but hopelessly NON-FUNCTIONAL websites that cost them a fortune but do not really further their marketing goals.
It’s kind of sad really. So many people waste a lot of time and effort having gigantic websites built when all they really need is a small site with a talking head video of themselves introducing their products and services. Essentially the exact kind of site you will see if you visit the sales page for Internet Video Workshop.
Even if you do not want to buy his product, visit the sales page so you can cope the format! Mike himself uses the kind of site he suggests you use. He uses them because they are the single most efficient way to market online.
SECOND PROBLEM SOLVED
The other scenario I see frequently is that people fail to get anything up at all because the technical challenges of setting up a website from scratch are just too great. If you have never done it before, setting up and installing a Word Press blog can be difficult. I had this blog installed for me, because it finally dawned on my little pea brain that it was impractical for me to learn and do everything myself.
Hiring someone to do the things you are not already trained to do is often the most practical way to go. Think of it this way. If you consider your time worth anything, then learning how to do it yourself and muddling through the whole process can cost more than just hiring someone to do it for you.
I’ve met Mike Stewart on several occasions and he is a real nice guy in addition to being a well-qualified online video expert. Mike is one of those marketers who took the lead and saw early on that online video was the best opportunity since Microsoft stock was brand new. As online video marketing has grown, Mike has been one of its chief proponents.
So if you are wanting to get started with online video marketing but feel stumbled by the overwhelming nature of the entire process, then go check out Mike Stewart’s new membership site, the Internet Video Workshop.
Just for kicks and grins, here is a second version of the video about Mike’s site. This one is about one minute, whereas the one above is about six minutes. I cut two of different lengths because depending on the exact circumstances, six minutes is either just right or WAY too long! So while I had my hair all curled and pretty, I made sure to cover all my bases and make two videos.

I definitely agree that you shouldn’t try to be an expert at everything…but, learning as much as you can about how to set up your own website or blog can go a long way…not only for your own video business but for helping clients as well. In my opinion, with EVERYTHING moving to the web in one form or another (especially video), learning how to set up and manage a website or blog will soon be just as important as knowing your way around your editing software or camera.

Hi Kris.
Yup, I agree, it is very important. Video on the web and basic website development is becoming a necessary skill, I think you are correct.
Thanks
