Lots of us, including me, do not really like to look at ourselves on camera. For me, seeing myself on video makes me groan and say, “Bleah! Who IS that fat, old woman?”

Yup, reality can be depressing!

Camera shyness is probably the number one reason why people put off making a web video.

Well, I’m doing my best to get over it and want to encourage you to do the same.

One thing that has helped me dare to put my wrinkled, chubby face on web video is my friendship with Thom McFadden. Thom is a lifelong Hollywood character actor.

We met through our mutual membership in the Authority Site Center.

Thom has coached lots of Hollywood’s leading actors and now he is reaching out to regular folks like you and me.

Thom is starting some free, online video acting classes and I have been helping him make videos for it.

Thom’s website is www.ActingForReal.com and you can sign up for his free video acting lessons there.

Thom is a ball of fun. His encouragement and advice have helped me feel more comfortable appearing on camera. I’ve also learned to project myself better by developing an on-camera “character” so to speak. It’s me, just a little more polished.

Now all I need is a really good plastic surgeon.

Just kidding.

Appearing on camera in your own web videos is critically important. It is probably the single best way to develop a trusting relationship with your customers.

Customers who trust also buy.

So if you feel like you’d like the advice of the “Coach to the Stars,” Hollywood actor Thom McFadden and his free online acting classes are for you!

Cheers!

If you want to work yourself to death and be poor, then by all means go apply at your local TV station or run off to Hollywood to work for the big boys. The big boys are rich, but you’ll never be if you follow that route.

As strange as this might sound, the key to making money at video production is NOT to get a job at a TV station. They don’t pay beans.

If you want to work yourself to death and be poor, then by all means go apply at your local TV station or run off to Hollywood to work for the big boys. The big boys are rich, but you’ll never be if you follow that route.

If you want to make money at video production, make a video and distribute it yourself.

There’s no doubt that the distributor often makes more money that the producer. So be both. The Internet makes that easy.

Producing a video product to sell is not as difficult as it might sound. (See my advice on how to outsource video.) If you’ve never done video before, you might find the task of producing a video product overwhelming, so I would suggest outsourcing. But if you’re brave, there’s plenty of basic video production information here on this blog to teach you all you need to know.

People will buy a video product before they will buy the same information distributed in book format. Video is easier to watch and easier to assimilate the info. Plus, there’s nothing that beats the ability of video to communicate. A product demonstration on video beats the pants off written instructions.

From a marketing standpoint, a video product is one of the best products you can produce. Whether you sell the video or use it as a lead generation, video production can add to your bottom line.So get your viral video out there and watch your traffic soar! And that is How to Make Money at Video Production

Video is one of the single best ways to bring traffic to your site because people all over the world are spending more and more time watching the wide variety of video available on the net.

Free Video for the Masses, Free Traffic for You

With video all over the Internet, many website owners are asking, How to Make Money at Video Production and how do I make money with video on the Internet?

There are a multitude of ways, but perhaps the single best is to use viral video as a source for traffic. Lots of traffic should equal lots of moola if your website is monetized right. A good viral video doesn't have to be complex, long, or fancy. Goofy might actually be the best adjective to shoot for.

Video is one of the single best ways to bring traffic to your site because people all over the world are spending more and more time watching the wide variety of video available on the net. As time passes, this phenomena will only grow. Within five years, standard television and Internet video will be even more integrated. Your video titles will appear in the same lineup as Hollywood fare.

To stand out, provide viewers something funky, original, and too cool for the networks to produce. Trust me, that's not as hard as it sounds. Network folks are bogged down trying to be politically correct. True creativity knows no PC bounds which is why so much traditional TV ain't even worth watching.

Some internet video is downloaded for a fee, but most of it is free for viewers. So how do you make money off a free video?

The same way you make money off a free report or free eBook. It's link bait. It's an ethical bribe. It's an enticement to come to your website and see what you have for sale. Think of it as an advertisement.

Find out How to Make Money at Video Production
Producing a simple video is the easiest and best way to communicate with your website audience. A free video distributed over the net will get you, your face, your personality and your products in front of an ever-growing audience. That exposure translates into money even if you never make a penny on the video itself.

A video will build trust with your audience. It's been proven over and over again that people respond to a video by assuming the message has more credibility than if the same message were presented in text. Seeing you on video makes you more memorable, more believable, and more personable.

Don't ask me why, I think people should know better than to trust what they see on TV, but most don't. Call it the "magic of TV" if it's on TV, it must be true! As a 30-year TV professional, my reaction is just the opposite. I figure they probably shot 3 billion takes before getting one where the product actually worked, and guess which take they use?

But just because TV is actually a pile of fakery, doesn't mean that people don't trust what they see. Only old, cynical curmudgeons like me are sneering; everybody else is running out to buy the latest gadget that took 3 billion takes to work.

Amazing, isn't it?

So get your viral video out there and watch your traffic soar!

And that is How to Make Money at Video Production
