INTERNET VIDEO DISTRIBUTION - Where to Post Your Video on the Internet

Clipshack.com is an internet video sharing with a mission of being fun and easy to use.

Clipshack is not a business oriented site…it’s mostly for goofy videos.

A quick look at the videos uploaded onto clipshack show everything from teenage girls lip-synching and dancing (very poorly I might add) to clips of giggling babies.

Then again, there was a tearful video documentary of Israelis citizens weeping before their forced removal from Gaza. That video seemed strangely out of place, but it had made it into the “most viewed” category.

www.clipshack.com is for ordinary folks who want to share their video with friends and family for free. It’s not for informational or business oriented videos, although they do accept such videos. According to their terms of service, the only genre of videos they refuse to host is pornography. Good for them!

Clipshack.com is owned and operated by a company called Reality Digital. Now if you’re a business owner looking into Internet Video, Reality Digital might be helpful to you even if clipshack is not.

(Note. I upload my videos to clipshack even though they don’t fit in real well. I figure it can’t hurt. No one has complained but my viewing stats aren’t real high either.)

Reality Digital is a relatively large company that began offering a digital media platform for business in 2004, which was a year before they created clipshack. They call their platform Opus. Reality Digital has helped lots of large and small businesses build, maintain, and control their own video sharing web sites.

According to their “about us” page, Reality Digital provides a hosted service platform for storing, sharing, managing and monetizing user-generated content including video, photos, games, text and more. To build all this yourself from scratch could take hundreds of thousands of dollars and compared to that, Opus is a genuine bargain!

For example, www.NewBaby.com, an extremely popular website for expectant parents, was built with the help of Reality Digital. Along with tons of pregnancy and parenting advice, NewBaby lets their members upload videos, which increases user enjoyment, loyalty and retention rates. It also provides the website with lots of fresh, search engine friendly free content. A win-win.

Adding the capacity for user generated video content uploads can be a great addition to a website, no doubt about it. However, if all you’re looking for is an easy place to upload a few videos to get some additional traffic, Opus from Reality Digital would go way beyond what you need.

Clipshack, on the other hand, will be happy to host your video for free. So although clip shack’s target audience is just looking for internet video laughs, it’s still an easy, free option for Internet marketers to distribute their videos.
